I've been wondering when "hypersonic" technology was going to hit the streets. i remember first reading about this tech a few years ago in one a crank tech mag like popular science and quickly realized that we'd being seeing it used for marketing applications. wait until you walk by a coke machine and you get the soft sound of the CO2 being released from freshly opened bottle resonating in your skull. while it's been going on subtly for a while now I think this may be one of the first explicit examples of direct warfare on the privacy of qualia and consciousness.

I don't know why I'm even surprised by this. It seems a natural next step in the evolution of marketing. Can't wait until they start using it in grocery stores. (I called it.)
